If you've ever been out to the West Coast of British Columbia --- more specifically, the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island --- then you'll be able to relate to the beauty of the ocean, the colorfulness and liveliness of the locals (at least during the summer), and, of course, the London-like feel of the downtown core.

Ink is actually not the issue, but thermal printing is. Receipts can sit in an envelope for a few weeks and turn blank. In your wallet, they may survive 48 hours if you are lucky. Sure, this is cheap for the business using it (no ink or ribbons) but bad for the consumer. Perhaps we should tell the retail industry how we feel.
